I’ve been away for a bit.  I had a great time helping my sister with a dessert bar for my brother-in-laws retirement party.  We had such a good time seeing lots of friends and family.  We are so blessed with wonderful people in our lives.  I was so happy that the desserts were well received and we had a few reaming to bring home.   The desserts I made were my mom’s recipe of Sweet Rice, German Chocolate Cupcakes, and White Cake Cupcakes with Vanilla Butter Cream Icing. I tried my hand at Lemon Bars which I have to say were delicious!  My sister asked me to make a small cake that was Red Velvet with Cream Cheese Icing and it had a beach scene because that is what my brother-in-law dreams of doing.

My daughter, Karli, needed a card for another friend’s birthday.  I am thankful for so many that share ideas online since you can get stuck needing so many soccer cards.  I added an embossed background and a ball bouncing off the card.  Kids anymore just want money so I made the card a money holder with a pocket on the inside.

I am getting ready to do classes through a recreation center, as well as, a senior living facility.  I am happy to share what I love whether it is sharing sweet treats or the joy of making cards.

Here are a few pictures of what I have been up to lately.
